Sorry for not updating my site in a while. It is always a bit hectic in fall when new school year starts and it takes a while for me to get back into juggling illustration and teaching. I will update the site very soon. There are lots of illustrations that need to be added to this site!

SUPER PHAT has closed. Thank you everyone who was involved in realizing this show, especially Elaine Chow of SVA Alumni Society. And thank YOU for coming!

Thank you everyone for coming to SUPER PHAT opening reception last night. I saw the show for the first time myself, and it turned out to be a big fun of diverse interesting work. If you haven’t seen it yet, hope you can go stop by! It worth walking all the way west to 11th Avenue.

MORE NEWS ON SUPER PHAT

Two new large scale drawings for Super Phat is now up on the site.

A Japanese press on the show and .. well on me (yeah, that is how I write my name) .., on Yomi Time. Thank you Shiota-san.

SUPER PHAT opens on Wednesday, September 12th. Reception is on the 18th.

SUPER PHAT AND FINE ART SECTION OVERHAUL

It is not that I hadn’t worked on fine art drawings in three years, but it is true that I had not updated that section in three years. Since I took a lot of time off this summer to work on two new large scale drawing for SUPER PHAT, I finally “started” overhauling. I have lots more drawings to upload, so please stay tuned. You can take a look at new page so far here.Please wait till the day show opens to see the new drawings. For now, look at photos here.

I had also revised the whole Fine Art Section for easy browsing.

FEATURE ARTICLE IN dpi MAGAZINE

Congratulations to Taiwanese Magazine dpifor their issue #100. There is an eight page Yuko interview article both in English and in Chinese. Special thank you goes to editor Sasha Weng.Also, 3×3 article got reprinted in CQ Journal Summer issue. I actually haven’t seen the issue yet.

SPECTRUM 15 JURY. AND, IT IS NO JOKE!

When SPECTRUM called me about a year ago to ask me to judge their next competition, I thought it was a joke, or they would forget about it in a year. They DID remember!. Growing up a sci-fi fantasy geek kid, it is my childhood dream coming true. Now, please submit your masterpieces to make our judging a wonderful experience. The details will be posted on their site in fall.

I am also judging UK’s Association of Illustrators student category this year.

IS YUKO BECOMING A BLOGGER??

The answer is NO. But, Zolton of Lost At E Minor was kind enough to let me be a guest editor this week, and let me talk about what music, art, design and culture I want to share with LAEM readers. You can read my archive here. A few more posting coming up, I think. (Yes, I finally got to talk about my 30 years of The Police obsession!)
